Personal Branding Photography Spotlight on Beekeeper, Rachel Sampara
Rachel and I met outside a wellness event I was photographing outside of Liverpool. I had my little Wild Kind Photography tote bag slung over my shoulder, when she asked if I was the photographer and said she followed me on instagram. Literally made me happy dance inside for the rest of the day. Less than a month after our super sweet meeting, our session was complete, sting-free!
When Rachel told me she was a beekeeper and needed photos for her marketing, I could hardly contain my excitement. Yes, I love photography, but another thing I value is trying new things and learning from uniquely talented women.
The goal of our shoot together was to create joyful website images of Rachel completing a hive inspection, while capturing her love of bees and passion for the environment.
Rachel aims to share the craft of beekeeping through public courses and is working toward finding adequate funding in order to offer free courses to underprivileged members of the local community. She's also experimenting with creating future wax-based products to add to her online shop.
"Prior to meeting Kayleigh, I had already followed her on social media and seen the final products of her shoots, which I thought were stunning. However, it was when I attended an event which she was photographing, that I knew I wanted to work with her. Kayleigh is really able to capture the essence of a brand and is able to tell a story through a still image and is super creative and aware of her surroundings, not missing a moment to capture an image. When booking, we had a pre-shoot meeting which I thought was a brilliant touch, as it meant Kayleigh could really understand my brand in advance of our shoot. Kayleigh is able to find the perfect balance of being warm and friendly, whilst remaining professional, I had so much fun with her on the shoot. The images came back beautiful and I received them much quicker than I expected. I also love the idea that by choosing Wild Kind Branding Photography, trees are planted. I really respect Kayleigh's passion for climate action being integrated into her business. Overall, I couldn't recommend Wild Kind enough: quality images, speedy service, eco-conscious business ideals and a wonderful person - what more could you ask for! Thank you so much Kayleigh, I hope to work with you again in the future."
"Wings & Radicles provides a safe, inclusive hub and educational space, centered around the craft of beekeeping; to improve mental well-being and increase biodiversity"
