But don't worry - I got you! I'm here to help you show up boldly and authentically in order to grow your brand and attract your people.

You've got this!

Liverpool homeopath journaling with a cup of tea.

"Kayleigh is an amazing person, and photographer. I chose to say person first, because her kindness made me feel so at ease.. I'm usually terrible in front of a camera but Kayleigh talked me through every step and made me feel so confident. I had a virtual shoot and an in person shoot with Kayleigh, both were great experiences. She is a truly wonderful and extremely talented person. I would highly recommend working with her!"

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT MY BRAND BEFORE BOOKING?

Before booking a brand shoot you should definitely go on a deep dive about your why, your mission, your brand themes, and your values. Super importantly, we need to know who your ideal client is so we know how best to speak to them through these images.
You'll also want to have your color scheme nailed down so we can sprinkle your brand elements throughout your shoot day to make for a cohesive gallery. You will have the chance to share these wilth me in the questionnaire you'll fill out before our planning session.

ARE THERE ANY SURPRISE COSTS OR TRAVEL FEES?

Not at all! What you'll see on your personalized quote is what you get, although I would suggest taking the time to have your hair and makeup done professionally as it does wonders for your confidence and takes a couple daunting tasks off your to-do list! I would also recommend renting an indoor space (such as a bright and airy airbnb) to make sure weather and crowds won't hold us back. Starting in a space like this allows you more time to get ready, a place to change (not to mention a private loo), and plenty of vignettes to work with for lifestyle shots from the kitchen and sofa, to the bed and desk. Travel fees may apply for shoots outside of the Liverpool area to account for the cost of getting to you (transportation and accommodation), rather than for the time it takes me.

WILL YOU TRAVEL FOR MY SHOOT?

Oh yes!! I traveled for the better part of my twenties, visiting over 100 countries so I would absolutely love to chat about your brand shoot abroad!

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

Occasionally you may be able to book me at a discounted rate or for mini shoots that come at a much lower rate. I also run a referral program that allows you to earn a discount on future bookings. It's a point-based system dependent on the type of shoot your contact books. The best way to hear about discounts is by signing up to my mailing list.

SHOULD I BOOK THE FULL DAY OR HALF DAY SHOOT?

It is SOOO much fun to dedicate an entire day to your brand shoot and allows for more outfits, more locations, more creativity and more content! I have found that my clients that opt for the full day are able to show up less distracted and since photoshoots can take a bit of a warm-up period to feel comfortable, the full day allows for that. That said, half day shoots are available to you as well and will also provide a great time with wonderful images! These are generally suited better for clients in the Liverpool area.

WHAT'S YOUR PAYMENT PROCESS?

To secure your spot on my calendar I require either payment in full or a deposit of 50% (and a signed contract) at time of booking. Any remaining balance will be due one to two weeks before the shoot.

BOOKING FAQS

Liverpool nutritionist journaling in the Wirral wheat fields.
Let's make a plan!

We’ll make it official with a quote, and contract to get you booked! A questionnaire will follow that we’ll go over during our zoom planning call when we’ll get into props, shots, locations, outfits, and everything in between.

WHERE SHOULD WE SHOOT?

That all depends on the stories you want to tell, your brand themes, and your content pillars. I would recommend starting our full day shoot in a tidy, well-lit indoor space whether your house is instagrammable or we find one for you to rent through airbnb. This will cover loads of lifestyle shots through the different spaces and give you a place to have your make-up artist meet you, change outfits, and freshen up. From there we'll pick locations based on goals and themes we identify during your planning session.

  • Are you all about that nature? Let’s head to the forest.
  • Want to chat about the benefits of cold water immersion? Let's pick a beach.
  • Do you frequently work out and about? Let's find a cute cafe.
  • Want to convey a bold statement? Graffiti walls here we come!
There are so many options and together we’ll plan the best locations to highlight based on your needs. Generally I aim to focus our shoot in natural light - I find that it’s the most flattering!

I'M SELF CONCIOUS OF...

I want you to be super proud of these images so make sure you let me know what's on your mind so I'm fully aware of what you want to, and to not flaunt. When filling out your questionnaire and during our planning call you can share all your concerns with me and we can work through them together! Nerves are extremely common on photoshoots so don't worry, you're not the only one! There's always a warm up time at the start of the shoot where clients are getting comfortable and easing into the flow, which is one reason full day shoots are so beneficial.

WHAT DO I WEAR? AND HOW MANY OUTFITS SHOULD I PREP?

These photos will represent your brand so in the end it all comes down to how you want to be seen. You’ll want to make sure that you are comfortable and confident with your look. I'd recommend that the majority of your wardrobe aims for timeless - neutrals like jeans and a white T is an easy go-to that will stand the test of time, but definitely consider a statement outfit or two! Make sure everything is wrinkle-free and consider things that can be layerd so we can switch it up quickly! Think about:

  • what story are you portraying?
  • adding accents that suit your brand colors (hair ties, fun glasses, etc)
  • branded pieces (apron with logo)
After booking you'll receive a style guide with over 10 looks to help inspire your wardrobe choices!

In a full day we can do up to a dozen looks!

HOW DO WE CREATE THE SHOT LIST?

I like to tell clients to start with what they want to tell people - how do you want to educate, inspire, and motivate your followers/fans? What are your content pillars? Think of upcoming captions, blog posts, and lauches you want to publish. Do you want to convey excitement? Balance? Motherhood? Check in with your brand values and themes. Have a think on what makes you relatable to your ideal clients. Sometimes that’s as simple as photographing your morning routine from the time you hop out of bed, jump into your slippers, pour your tea, and sit down to meditate. Other stories may include:

  • how you prep your space before painting
  • pulling up your wetsuit to to take an ocean plunge
  • gearing up to take your pups on a walk
  • sitting down at your computer to conduct a client call
  • going through your emails at a cafe
Once you’ve booked onto your session we go through the planning stages together, hash out all the details, and I make a planning document that includes your key shot list, prop ideas, and wardrobe necessities. Pinterest is a great collaborative tool ( did you know you can share a private board with me?) as you start to build out your shoot goals so I can see what you're thinking and together we can bring your vision to life.

WHAT PROPS SHOULD I BRING?

Props are a wonderful way to give your shoot an authentic look and tie in aspects of your brand from colors to values. For example, for a wellness coach who works from home, I would suggest laptop, cell phone, water bottle, notebook, pens, mug, something that speaks to a hobby of yours, and anything else that you use to get your job done. You can tie in your colors with on-brand laptop and phone cases, tea towels, blankets, etc, to ensure the photos are cohesive. Statement mugs are fun and maybe even consider getting something custom made (apron, tote bag, etc). There are so many options and our planning chat will bring up loads of exciting prop ideas!

DO WE PLAN THE SHOOT TOGETHER?

Absofreakinlutely! I am so not going to leave you hanging when it comes to planning. Your shoot includes a shared planning session where we go into the stories you want to tell and how we'll convey them in your images. We'll discuss location ideas, props you should include, timing, and more! I'll check in with you in the lead up to the shoot to make sure you're feeling groovy and ready to give it your all!

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?

Preparation is key to a successful shoot both mentally and physically! Mental Prep Being in a good mental space is incredibly helpful as you prepare for our session. In the days leading up to our shoot I invite you to treat yourself. To you that may look like: meditation, relaxation, splurging on that mani/pedi, soaking in the bath, hitting up that yoga class you rarely have time for...you get the idea. Do what feels right in order to center yourself, pause that mental to-do list, and de-clutter your mind before our session together. Physical Prep Shooting in your space is a great way to capture your personality, surrounded by the tidbits of your life. If we're shooting in your house, make sure your space is prepped before I arrive. - De-clutter the space we will be shooting (the rooms with the best light) - Stow away anything you don't want in the photos - Pick up some fresh flowers to create accents and brighten your rooms - Gather the special items you'd like to incorporate - Turn off lights and open shades Confirm your hair and makeup appointments Get your out-of-office email ready for the day, iron your outfits, and pack up all your goodies the night before, using a separate bag for each location to maximize effeciency and help you feel organized. Say your affirmations and shut off those phone notifications! It's go time!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE SHOOT?

Good energy and a postive mindset to start! Make sure you've packed all the outfits and props you want to incorporate. Using a separate bag for each location will be super helpful! Grab some healthy snacks (fruit, trail mix, etc.), a giant bottle of water, and anything else that will help boost your energy!

HOW SHOULD I POSE?

I don't want you worrying about posing or let that hold you back from booking a shoot. Most people feel awkward in front of the camera and that's nothing to worry about. I'll provide direction throughout that helps you feel at ease and natural, introducing movement and stories to walk you through, in order to get those authentic shots. Your pinterest board will help me understand the vibe you're going through so put some effort into choosing the images that inspire you. And you are free at any point to have a peek at the back of the camera to make sure you're happy and we're nailing your vision!

DO I REALLY NEED TO GET MY HAIR AND MAKEUP DONE?

This is totally a personal choice but in my experience, I've seen people's confidence skyrocket when they've had professional hair and makeup done, plus it's one less thing on your to do list.

SHOULD I BRING A FRIEND?

You may invite others like coworkers, friends, and family to your photoshoot if they are one of the stories you want to tell, however unless you book this as a partner shoot, this is YOUR session and it will not include solo shots of anyone else. Make sure if others are joining, you help them find a complementary, rather than matching wardrobe. Sometimes friends are nice to have on hand to help you feel comfortable or assist you with setup, wardrobe changes, capturing behind the scenes footage, or carrying your things. I'm all about that as long as that person doesn't hold you back, distract you, or make you feel self concious in any way. Please let me know if anyone will be joining us when we have our initial chat so I can plan ahead!

WHAT DO WE DO IF IT RAINS?

My dad used to say growing up in Seattle, "if you don't do things in the rain, you don't do things." Weather is a huge reason I would recommend renting an airbnb, although amazing photos can come out of a cloudy or drizzly day, especially if we prepare for it. Ultimately I'll make the decision about rescheduling due to the forecast based on the severity of the weather, my availability to reschedule you, and whether the shoot aesthetic, and gear will be okay.
