There’s something really special about photographing someone who pours their whole heart into their craft, and that is exactly who Claire is. Every part of her work at Redress Studio carries intention, care, and a level of expertise that is exactly what you want to see in the alterations world.


We’ve worked together before, but this shoot felt like a big next chapter moment for her and her brand, refining her visual identity, elevating her presence, and positioning Redress Studio exactly where it belongs in the bridal market.



Who is Redress Studio?


Redress Studio began with one simple thought: “Surely this could be a nicer experience?”


After struggling to find someone to alter a bridesmaid dress without rushed fittings or awkward dry-cleaner back rooms, Claire realized there was space for something better. Something more human. More attentive. More couture.


With 20 years in the fashion industry, including design roles and work with luxury houses like Burberry, she created her own bridal alterations space in Liverpool — a private, judgment-free studio where brides feel cared for, understood, and genuinely excited about their gown journey.


Her work blends craftsmanship, sustainability, and emotional support. Whether she’s reworking heirloom lace, designing bespoke veils, or fitting a gown with millimeter precision, Claire’s mission is simple:

Every bride deserves to feel confident, comfortable, and completely herself.



Key Goals for the Photoshoot


Before we even picked up a camera, she worked with my go-to brand designer, Rachael Does Design to get her branding crystal clear.

Claire's clear vision came together as we mapped out her shoot plan. She wanted to:

  • Appeal to a more premium bridal market

  • Introduce and elevate her Bespoke Veil Design Service

  • Bring more personality into her brand

  • Build visuals for her website refresh

  • Show the transformation that happens inside a proper fitting experience

  • Capture high-quality images of her veils, fittings, materials, and process

  • Position herself as the go-to bridal seamstress and designer on Merseyside


Claire has some BIG goals:

  • being booked out a year ahead

  • having a waitlist for bespoke veils

  • being recognized as one of the best in bridal alterations.


This shoot was designed to help her step fully into that industry-leading energy, and to bring her shoot to that level, shoot she:


➝ booked a hair and makeup artist

➝ ordered props and wardrobe pieces that matched her exact brand colors

➝ hired models to wear her pieces

➝ brought her VA friend to capture behind-the-scenes content

➝ invited our brand designer to help with creative direction

➝ and I went back and forth for weeks planning the flow, shotlist, props, and story arc.

Claire’s shoot plan was incredibly thorough and intentional, highlighting exactly how she works in real life.


A few of the key scenes from her shoot plan include:


  • Fittings with two bridal models (mirror moments, consultations, pinning, movement)

  • Sewing machine and craft shots: stitching lace, steaming gowns, pattern work, cutting, and pinning fabric

  • Bespoke veil artistry: appliqué placement, draping veils over mannequins, and embroidery

  • Studio lifestyle shots: Claire sketching, choosing trims, working at her desk

  • Full bridal portraits outdoors in Little Crosby with veils catching the wind


This shoot was a full story of her process, from quiet studio moments to detail-oriented fittings, to brides enjoying Claire's creations in the real world.
