Big Energy Manchester Brand Photoshoot with Social Media Manager

Brand photos spotlight on Social Media Manager Jo Wanjohi.

Jo and I met on Instagram - I can't even remember how we first connected but I'm so grateful we did. It was lovely to have another small business pal navigating the challenges of lockdowns. We met in Liverpool last year (so nice to meet in person!) before she took off to spend some time in Kenya traveling and visiting her family. She even participated in a virtual shoot with me while she was down there (the furthest distance I shot at virtually).

When I secured the Space at the Mill in Manchester I reached out to see if Jo was in need of fresh images and it turns out that she is actually in the first stages of a rebrand/relaunch so it was perfect timing to capture photos of her in this gorgeous studio space alongside shots in the city where she's soon to close on her first property!

Since Jo is a social media manager, we set out to get photos of her with her main tools - laptop and mobile phone, along with locations and backdrops that emphasize the direction she's going with her upcoming new brand palette - natural colors and texture along with greenery and perhaps a pop of yellow.

We had a lovely time shooting around Manchester together and I'm so grateful to have been able to help her update her imagery while having a wander through the city.

In addition to the studio, we found a cafe that suits her colors, as well as a quick visit to Canal Street, and some shots in a beautiful outdoor park space. We even managed to take a break and catch the Amazonia photo exhibit at the Science and Industry Museum; and celebrated the end of our time together with Prosecco
