See Inside My Private New Brighton Home Photography Studio

Brand photography in the northwest of the UK comes with one giant uncontrollable challenge: the weather.
As much as I love taking clients to stunning outdoor locations or renting beautiful studios, I wanted to create a reliable, versatile, and cost-effective space for entrepreneurs who are already investing so much into their shoot.
That’s how my New Brighton home studio came to life — a dedicated space designed for elevated, minimal, brand photography.

Why I Built My Own Brand Photography Studio
When my partner and I started house-hunting, one of my non-negotiables was having a space that could double as both my office and a small photography studio.
When we moved in, the room was far from inspiring — think yellow walls, wall-to-wall cat-puke-stained carpet, and a giant rose wallpaper.
But with a clear vision and a lot of paint, it became a space that now feels calm, minimal, and full of potential.
The Transformation Step by Step
Here's what we did to get it client-ready:
Stripped out the old carpet and replaced it with hardwood floors while I was away shooting a retreat in Sri Lanka.
Repainted all the walls white (aside from the neutral chimney breast) to create a bright, versatile foundation for brand shoots.
Installed floor-to-ceiling curtains for softness, texture, and a backdrop option.
Added a rolling paper backdrop in a neutral, minimal beige for more versatility.
Created multiple vignettes within the space, so each shoot has multiple options.
The goal was always to keep it a simple blank canvas that can easily be adapted for various client businesses.
What the Studio Looks Like & What's in it?
The New Brighton consists of:
Hardwood floors and neutral walls for a clean, editorial feel.
Minimal, flexible backdrops — from curtains to seamless paper.
Professional lighting setup to balance whites and create natural-looking images.
Small vignettes designed for product photography, lifestyle branding, and creative headshots.
It’s not a huge commercial studio, but that’s exactly the point.
In it there's plenty that can be moved around to customize the space:
mirrors
coffee table
green couch
throw pillows
bench
pouffs
stool
peacock cane chaire
It’s distraction-free, comfortable, and made for one-to-one sessions with entrepreneurs who want simple, high-impact visuals in a private space.
Who the Studio Is For
Since opening the doors, I’ve photographed:
Product founders and makers
Coaches and therapists
Interior designers and creatives
Beauty and wellness professionals
It’s also become my own space for filming video content, proof that you don’t need a huge commercial studio to create visuals that look polished and elevated.
Why This Space Matters
Not every entrepreneur has the budget (or desire) to rent large studios.
By creating this space, I wanted to offer my clients an option that still feels high-end and professional, without relying on cafés or weather-dependent locations.
It’s about making brand photography more accessible, empowering, and strategic.
When you book a brand shoot with me, this studio is one of the location options we can use to bring your story to life. And if you're after more Liverpool location options, head here to download my local location guide!!
It also doubles as my Office and a Guest Room
This was super important to me as I needed a place where friends and family can visit and spread out so the couch turns into a bed and the room divider hides my desk.
The hutch locks away my work things and it feels cozy to people staying the night.
When I'm using it daily as my office, I feel inspired looking out over the space, watching the sun stream through the waving tree branches, creating dappled afternoon light along the walls, and cast tiny rainbows as it works its way through the prism hanging on my window
